Through Microsoft Philanthropies TEALS (Technology Education and Literacy in Schools), Boost Human is helping high schools throughout El Paso build and grow sustainable computer science programs.

Learning computer science empowers young people to compete in the global economy and pursue careers across all sectors because it teaches students computational thinking and problem solving skills applicable in any industry. Students want to learn computer science yet most high schools are unable to offer rigorous CS courses.

Boost Human senior engineering team Ivan Gris, Alex Rayon, Laura Avila, and Marco Lopez have paired with classroom teachers to team-teach computer science. Throughout the school year 2019-2020, Boost Human’s top talent will be teaching twice a week computer science classes across El Paso, helping our region cultivate the talent for tomorrow, and opening students career paths.

If you are a professional programmer, software engineer, or software developer and would like to help, consider volunteering!
